Local Councils remain one of the biggest landlords in the UK with some 1.6 million properties under their control according to 2018 figures.  

Regardless of whether or not you pay the rent in full privately, or you receive partial of full Housing Benefit assistance, you are legally entitled to live in a property that is appropriately maintained and looked after so that you and your family can enjoy the property in full.  

All too often our clients tell us that they have complained about a number of problems – be it damp, condensation, leaks, heating, etc – only to be told by their Council that they don’t have the budget to carry out repairs but they will put them onto a waiting list.  

THAT IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE.
