Private Landlord Tenants Disrepair Claims

The number of private properties being rented in the UK stood at a 4.5 million in 2018, dwarfing both Local Council and Housing Association tenancies combined.    

In theory at least, private tenants have the exact same rights and remedies as those renting from public bodies such as the Council when it comes to issues of disrepair to the property. In practice however pursuing a private landlord can be far more difficult.
